Well I am certainly pleased to say that today is the day that I finally started my very own blog! In fact I have wanted a blog of my own for ages but I have never actually got around to it. I had a mental block earlier trying to think of what to base my blog on... and then I had a brainwave! Wizard101, of course! My ultimate favorite game of all time and so here I am typing this paragraph thinking will this blog actually work out. Probably not. But hey, at least I can say I tried, right?
Ok, so for those of you out there that are thinking 'What on Earth is Wizard101?!' I can safely say that it's a very addictive game. A computer game. And was created for 'younger audiences' although most of the people who do play it are generally bored-as-hell teenagers (like me!) or adults with some spare time.
Clearly -as the name points out- the game has something to do with wizards... Well yes it does. The whole game is in fact based around magic and myths.
Enough of that; onto the game play!
So the game has so many brilliant features that I would be sat here typing for at least 5 days if I were to include every single piece of awesomeness that the game has in store for us players. But I can however give you guys a brief summery of what happens in Wizard101.
You make a wizard (or up to 6 if you desire) and choose a type of magic/school for them to learn and here are your choices:
Ice- Great school for shields, stuns and attacks.
Fire- Great school for multiple enemy attacks.
Balance- Great school for buffing using blades and traps. (Don't worry, you'll be taught about these!)
Death- Great school for double spells that attack and heal.
Life- Great school for healing.
Myth- Great school for destroying shields and attacks.
Storm- Great school for big damage attacks.
I have a wizard for every school but Myth (although I did try out a wizard with this school) as you can have a
maximum of 6 wizards but there is 7 schools. My highest wizard being Alicia Unicornbreeze who was recently the highest level possible (70) and she is a fire student.
The combat in W101 is a card dueling system, where you collect cards (a.k.a spells) and cast them onto opponents/enemies. The game is a multiplayer one, which means you can team up with friends and help each other out! Questing is the main aspect of the game, you can talk to in-game characters and help them out by questing.
The most common types of quests are:
Defeat X number of X monsters
Defeat X and collect X number of X (I hate these quests)
Talk to X
Defeat X the boss
Find X number of X
And locate X number of X
Craft X number of X's
Quests are all different. But other than questing you can; start gardening, train pets and race (or breed them!), try Player vs Player matches. Play mini-games or decorate your house along with holding partys with your friends!
Quick Location Facts
The game is set in The Spiral (their universe, basically) and you are a student at Ravenwood (...Schools of magic). The main city is called Wizard City and there are currently 10 worlds! Each world has lots of areas for you to explore and plently of characters for you to meet!

Just a reminder- Wizard101 is a downloaded game! Because I know some people are not always allowed to download games.
Obviously I couldn't cram everything into my first post but I tried to get as much as I could in and also my future posts will be about my gameplay and new features, rumors and cheats/secrets to the game! So I will no longer be posting about what the game is like, that was just an introduction!
